Meet Our Team

Dr. Reid Spivey was born and raised in Calera, Alabama. His parents, both retired schoolteachers, still reside just south of his hometown.  After graduating at the top of his high school class, Dr. Spivey earned bachelors degrees in Business and Computer Science from The University of Alabama.  He then went on to earn his Doctorate from The University of Alabama (UAB) School of Dentistry. 
 
Dr. Spivey practiced dentistry in Alabama for four years, first in a small rural community in south Alabama, then purchasing his own rural practice just outside of his hometown.  Dr. Spivey was proud to transform this practice into a modern, comfortable, full-service family and general dental office, providing greater access to care for his community.  He expanded his skills by incorporating all facets of dentistry into his practice, from oral surgery, endodontics, and periodontics, to all areas of cosmetic and general comprehensive care, including Invisalign.  In 2014, life took a wonderfully unexpected turn, and Dr. Spivey sold his practice so he and his wife Julie could move to Hawaii, where Julie would earn her specialty degree in Pediatric Dentistry.  While in Hawaii, Dr. Spivey practiced dentistry in a community health center, treating Hawaii’s underserved population.  He helped establish a school-based dental program, which allowed teens with limited access to care the ability to receive treatment during school elective classes.  Since relocating to Charlotte in 2016, Dr. Spivey has practiced dentistry in both the Monroe and Belmont areas.  He has taken many hours of continuing dental education to expand his skill set even further and now also places dental implants.
 
Dr. Spivey has been an avid sportsman his entire life.  He grew up playing multiple sports, of which basketball and football were his favorites.  Now, outside of the office, he spends much of his time on or in the water, whether fishing, boating, wake surfing, scuba diving or spearfishing.  He and Julie have been married since 2014.  Along with their shared love of teeth, they enjoy traveling, watching Alabama football, exercising, and spending time with their adopted pup Dougie, a bulldog mix.
 
Dr. Spivey and his wife moved to North Carolina with the intent of living on the lake, and they are truly excited to be practicing and residing in the Denver area.  Dr. Julie's pediatric dental office is just south of Anchor Dental on Highway 16, and the Spiveys are proud and excited to provide excellent dental care for a community they now call home. 
 

I grew up in Lincolnton but have spent the past 20 years here in Denver.   I attended Central Piedmont Community College, where I earned my certificate in Dental Assisting.  I also earned my B.S. in Biblical Studies from Great Commission Bible College.  I have loved teeth for as long as I can remember.   My favorite part of dentistry is seeing smiles cosmetically transformed, but my favorite part of my job is working in a small town and getting to know my patients on a personal level.  My husband Chad and I have two children, Will and Tyler.  We are very active in our church.  In my free time, I enjoy four-wheeling, water sports, and hanging out with my friends and family on Lake Norman.

I graduated from the dental assisting program at Central Piedmont Community College.  Since my dental career began in 1991, my passion has always been seeing patients leave our office with a confident and beautiful smile.  I strive to make all of our patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their dental visits.  During my free time I enjoy spending time with friends and family at the beach, pool, or on Lake Norman!

I grew up in Denver and currently live in Alexis with my husband, son, and too many animals to count!  I have worked in the dental field for over a decade.  Prior to becoming the office manager here at Anchor Dental, I was a dental assistant for 6.5 years.  I truly enjoy being involved in all aspects of dental care.  Outside of the office, I spend my free time enjoying the outdoors with my family.  

I was born and raised in Linconton, where my husband and I still live. For as long as I can remember, my dream was to be a dental hygienist. In 2020 I graduated from Catawba Valley Community College and began living that dream. My favorite part of my job is helping patients obtain healthy, beautiful smiles. In my free time I enjoy riding four wheelers, going camping, and soaking up the sun at the beach. My husband and I lead a youth group at our church that we enjoy spending time with. I am so blessed to be a part of the Anchor Dental team.

I grew up in Newton, NC and now live in Maiden with my high school sweetheart/husband about 10 minutes from where we grew up. I graduated from Catawba Valley Community College's Dental Hygiene Program in 2020 and started my career in Western NC where my husband attended school. We are both so happy to have moved back to our hometown since then! My favorite part of being a dental hygienist is getting to know each person and creating a relaxed environment where they can look forward to their visits with me and the rest of the Anchor Dental team. My husband and I enjoy spending most of our free time with our two dogs, Nora and Scout.  

I grew up in Mt. Holly but  have lived in Stanley for the past 21 years.  I have 20 years of experience working in dentistry, primarily at the front desk.  I really enjoy working for a small practice where I can learn about my patients and make them feel like family.  My husband Grady and I have two children, Tori and Garrett.  In my spare time, I love to read, but I spend most of my time on the basketball court or baseball field!
